I find it almost amazing that Scott & I have lived in so many different places and we've never had air conditioning. Boston, New York City, Colorado, Lake Tahoe, Charleston, Los Angeles โ none of our apartments had air conditioning. Even in Europe, air conditioning was a rarity.
