Happy Herbivore turned 4 in October and looking back to the beginning I can't believe it's been four years. (In fact, I'm in such denial that it wasn't until I wrote this post that I realized HH was 4 and not 3!).

For those of you that have been reading this blog since 2007 (or any substantial amount of time, really), this news probably isn't too surprising:

We're moving to St. Maarten!

In the three years I've had Happy Herbivore, we've moved from Boston to Los Angeles to New York City. It's been a whirlwind adventure — one that will be taking us out of the country and to a tiny island in the tropics for the next year.

Friday was my birthday and in a full-circle like fashion, my 28th year closed with my cookbook going off to the printer. Here is the final cover:

I also celebrated my birthday on Saturday with friends...many of whom I met through Happy Herbivore Meetups!

(yes, those are Doritos and yes they are vegan. Healthy? no. Vegan? yes!)
