Scott, the pugs & I traveled from LA to Tahoe for the weekend for a mini 'vacation'. It's far more beautiful (and blue!) than I ever imagined but I've also been pleasantly surprised how vegan-friendly South Tahoe is too!

I wanted to pass along some facts from the Farms 2 Forks  event I recently attended. I thought these tidbits were eye-opening and if you follow me on Twitter  (@happyherbivore) you might have caught these live!

Farms2Forks  was amazing. Not only did I get to attend wonderful lectures by Dr. Essy, Dr. Campbell & Jeff Novick (AND do my own demo!) I ate wonderful food, met inspiring people (a few Herbies!!) and got to hang out with the entire Essy family -- from swimming with Rip in the pond, to dancing with his sister Jane up and down the aisles, to Ann making me banana ice cream and topping it with my new obsession: chocolate vinegar …

When Scott and I were driving across country,we headed to Chicago. Scott went to see the White Sox play and I met up with Andrea :)

While Scott and I were road tripping in June, we made our way to Arizona, stopping for a late lunch in Albuquerque.
