Melty Vegan Pizza Cheese

- 1 cup almond milk
- ¼ cup nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp white whole-wheat rice flour
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp miso
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp dry mustard (spice) (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, whisk ingredients together then heat over high until it is bubbling.
- Reduce heat and allow to thicken, stirring constantly.
- Spoon marinara over pitas (if using pizza dough, cook most of the way first).
- Spoon cheese sauce over top and bake 4 to 7 minutes at 450F, until cheese has melted and formed a “skin” on top.
- Cool for 3-5 minutes before eating.
