  1. Combine all ingredients except fresh basil in a blender, starting with 2 tbsp marinara and 1 tsp Italian seasoning.
  2. Blend until smooth, but a thicker hummus consistency, adding more marinara or pasta sauce as needed.
  3. Taste, adding more Italian seasoning as desired, or additional tomato paste for a stronger tomato flavoring.
  4. Pulse fresh basil in a few times to lightly blend in.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl (serve warm or cold).
  6. Garnish with vegan parm or nutritional yeast and fresh basil.
