  1. Soak prunes in ¼-cup HOT water for 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer both to a blender and puree.
  3. Add soy sauce, plus a few light dashes or garlic and ginger, and blend until smooth and homogenous.
  4. Taste, adding more ginger or garlic.
  5. If it's too thick, add water. If it's too runny, heat on the stove over low until it reduces.
  6. Refrigerate.
