1-Minute, 2-ingredient Sugar-Free Teriyaki Sauce (gluten-free, soy-free, paleo possible!)

Love teriyaki but hate the processed sugar bomb?

OR are you sensitive to soy or gluten?

I got you.

This teriyaki sauce is amazing because it uses PRUNES.

You can also make it soy-free, gluten-free, and paleo by using coconut aminos.

Speaking of which…

TRADER JOE’S NOW SELLS COCONUT AMINOS!

I have no idea how I ended up with a bag of prunes…

And you could probably use raisins or even dates in this recipe..

Soak, blend, add spices if you want and VOILA!

No overly processed sugary garbage.

All the flavor but with the whole plant ingredients you looove.

My sister favors teriyaki over all other condiments (it’s her preferred salad dressing) but she’s allergic to black pepper and also sensitive to wheat, which made every teriyaki on the market unsuitable for her.

Admittedly, I’m not a big DIY’er and it’s totally okay if you’re still using store bought teriyaki (I get it, I take tons of shortcuts too. Success with home cooking is more important than ideology… progress not perfection!) but I’m so glad we now have this option.

I haven’t bought a bottle of teriyaki sauce in probably 6 months because this is so easy and I still have that bag of prunes! LOL.

Use this to make Teriyaki Chickpeas or serve alongside all those veggies you'll be grilling this summer.
