Earlier this year I announced I was writing three books on minimalism.
The first book, Minimalist Monday: Declutter Your Way to a Zen Home was released in February . And the second book, Minimalist Monday: Decluttering Your Life! Letting Go of Emotional Baggage, Toxic Relationships, and Social Chaos to Build Your Ideal, Zen Life followed shortly thereafter .
Now I am happy to say that the third and final book, Minimalist Monday: Zen Productivity has finally arrived! ( You can order it in all electronic forms (PDF, Kindle, Nook, etc) here. )
This book is about being as efficient and productive as you can be, to leave more free time for your pursuit of happiness.
The clock ticks, ticks, ticks no matter what we do and yes, we cannot control that, but we can control how we spend that time. That was the cold reality minimalism (and productivity) forced me to accept.
Even at places like work where, arguably, my time was not my own time, how I used it was still within the realm of my control.
As it turns out, minimalism and productivity showed me I had more time than I thought I did. I also had the power to control my use of time to then make more time for myself… (and no, I didn’t find a secret time machine!)
“Everything that matters, nothing that doesn’t!” is the central core of minimalism, yet there will always be things you don’t want to do, or would rather not do, but still you must do. In those cases it behoves us to be as productive and efficient as we can be, so we can get back to our bliss.
Over the years I’ve stumbled upon a number of practices that allow me to accomplish more with less. It’s so minimalist when you think about it!
Now it’s your turn to be as productive and efficient as you need to be.
