Today's guest blogger is a special little boy named Adam who just loves baking Happy Herbivore recipes (with mum's help!). Adam will also be appearing in my new cookbook, Everyday Happy Herbivore.
Now, let's get to it!
Hello everybody! My name is Adam and I am six years old. I can tie my shoes and I am learning to ride a two-wheeler. I like to bake (and eat — hee, hee, hee) sweet stuff with my mum, who likes to blog at roboticwhimsy.com. Today I am baking HH's single-serving brownie that is kind of like a cupcake.
The first thing I do before I start baking is put on my apron and wash my hands so they're clean and shiny. Then Mummy helped me get out all the ingredients.
I sprayed my cupcake holder with oil so that the brownie wouldn't stick. I don't want brownie bits to stick because that means less brownie for me to eat (Boo hoo).
I carefully measured out the flour.
I also measured out the chocolate chips. The chocolate chips are my favourite part. I ate two chocolate chips to make sure they were good. They were.
I mixed all the dry ingredients together. I am a super mixer.
When everything was super mixed, I added the wet ingredients.
I put the batter in the muffin cup. Some batter got on my fingers so I licked it off. It was good.
I was a little scared of putting the brownie in the toaster oven because it was hot. So Mummy helped.
While the brownie was baking, I ate the leftover batter that didn't fit in the muffin cup. Yummy!
The brownie was excellent! Awesome! Great! Turbo Genius! I shared it with mum and Leah (my littler sister). Everyone loved it and I can't wait to make it again.
