I love a good plant-based (vegan) potluck. Here's what was served at mine (Get ideas)!

Shortly before we left Tahoe, we attended a vegan potluck at our friends' house. Vegan potlucks are a lot of fun — not only do you get to try and sample many different foods (including things you wouldn't normally make yourself), but they're a great way to get your friends to try (and make!) vegan and plant-based meals.

To top it all off, you get to meet new people and have great conversation. It's also a great way to "entertain" yourself without spending a lot of money or eating unhealthy foods.

I find as I'm getting older, I much prefer having friends over for dinner than going out to a restaurant or a bar. My wallet seems to prefer that too ;)

Anyway, here's what I took to the potluck:

My fat-free (nut-free!) vegan cheeseball (a recipe in my upcoming cookbook, HH Light & Lean.

The Rum Cake from EHH (Editorial Note: Those are dehydrated orange slices I picked up at Trader Joe's.)

And the Cajun Stuffed Mushrooms from HHA, which are my go-to appetizer and potluck food.

Here are some pictures of the food other people made and brought:
