I’m sorry to tease you with a photo of food you can’t make yet, but the winner will get this recipe! It’s the latest dish created for my upcoming cookbook. You can see more photos of cookbook foods by clicking the cookbook tab at top or visiting my flickr page.

For the contest: all you have to do is leave a comment, naming this taco. It’s current name is “summer taco”, which is kinda lame. Have fun!

Here’s a little info about the taco: its 90% raw, takes 5 minutes to prepare and can be served warm or cold. The main ingredients (as you can probably tell from the photo) are zucc, kidney beans and corn.

How about “Tacos Veranos”? Or, basically, “Summer Tacos” in Spanish. ;P

I am so bad with names for things! I would call it “Squash and Bean Tacos”, but you see why I’ll never win an award for my naming creativity.

It looks fantastic though, zucchini, corn, and kidney beans seem like they would compliment each other in taste and texture perfectly.

Yeah, that is so silly, but I still like it. I guess Rachael Ray got into my head for that dumb name, but I still like it. I would name it that.

Those tacos are screaming, “tacos azul”, to me. azul means blue in Spanish. I love the colored shells! Nice touch.

Summer is Spanish is not an adjective so you have to say `Tacos de el verano`.

Not to be nit-picky, but to really be spanish accurate it would actually be ‘Tacos del verano’. When ‘de’ and ‘el’ are next to each other you simplify to ‘del’. It is a really cool name though. I’m not sure how to add raw to it. ‘Crudo’ is spanish for raw, but I’m not sure if that really translates correctly to uncooked. Cooked translates to ‘cocinado’ so maybe uncocinado? Also, it doesn’t sound very pleasant: ‘Tacos crudos del verano’ of ‘Tacos uncocinados del verano’. Any fluent spanish speakers out there care to way in?

Not to be even MORE picky, but because it would be more than one taco, it would be “Tacos del Veranos”.

In the end, though, it’s totally up to Lindsay!!

To continue with the grammar corrections, if it was plural it would have to be Tacos de los Veranos because you can’t combine de and los. I do like that name though!
